  • At least 4 years of professional automotive technician experience

  • Active Maine State Inspection license or ability to get one within 90 days

  • The ability to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

  • Complete Digital Vehicle Health Reports on every vehicle.

  • Confident in trouble-shooting drivability concerns.

  • Ability to read and understand wiring schematics.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • A working toolbox

  • Willingness to attend company paid trainings to maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices.

  • Strong computer & communication skills

  • Works well with others on a team, excellent work ethic and must have goals

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Completes Digital Vehicle Health Reports on every vehicle.

  • Performs Maine State Inspections.

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Walker’s Garage and factory standard.

  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

  • Removes and Install/Replace vehicle components.

  • Examines vehicles to determine if safety or additional service work is required.

  • Mount/Balance/Rotate Tires

  • Accomplishes and maintains a high level of efficiency.

  • Communicates with Service Advisor about any parts to be ordered and of any delays that occur during the repair.

  • Road Test Vehicles when required.

  • Parks and lock all vehicles in proper parking spaces.

  • Ensures that client’ vehicles are kept clean.

  • Maintains and keeps an organized shop environment.

  • Ensures that ethical business practices, a positive image, organization, client service, effective teamwork, and positive community relationships are upheld.

  • Attends and participate in trainings, conferences and certification classes required by employer to maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices.

  • Attends and participates in shop meetings required by employer.
